St Luke's Hospice visit Sherford

Earlier this month, Sherford received a visit from some very special guests; the team from St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth who visited the development’s Skills Training Centre for their third annual team away day. With teas, coffees and biscuits kindly donated by Morrisons Plymouth, along with lunch from Good2Go, the team spent the day discussing their five-year fundraising strategy and setting individual team goals. They also had the opportunity to hear from Consultant in Palliative Care and St Luke’s Community Team member, Dr Sioned Evans; finding out more about the important work she is doing in the local community.

To finish the day, the team took part in a bulb planting afternoon with Sherford landscapers, YGS Landscapes. Planting a variety of bulbs onsite as a reminder of a brighter future, the Sherford gardens will blossom in the coming Spring, so be sure to keep an eye out!

St Luke’s Plymouth provides specialist care and support to people with progressive life-limiting illnesses across the South West. Supporting 300 people a day, St Luke’s believes that everyone deserves quality end of life care, no matter where.

Check out some of the pictures from their visit here! A big thank you to the team for visiting and for the amazing work and support they provide!
