MEET THE TEAM BEHIND SHERFORD'S FIRST SCHOOL, SHERFORD VALE

Take the opportunity to meet Sherford’s first ever Headteacher; Helen Tipping, at the Linden Show Home, Sherford this Saturday.

Between 11-1.30pm, visitors to Sherford can find out more about the school, what to expect and meet the team set to be working at the community’s first primary school. There will also be a selection of fun activities run by Helen and the team, for children to take part in.

Construction work has now started on Sherford’s first primary school, Sherford Vale, marking a major milestone in the creation of the new Devon community. 420 primary places will be available to children between the ages of 2-11 at Sherford Vale, and is the first of three planned primary schools at the new town. The new school will be sponsored and run by the Ivybridge Academy Trust, which has a proven track record in education excellence locally, also running neighbouring Ivybridge Community College.

This is the first of three visits taking place at the development over the next couple of months. Further dates will be confirmed in due course.
